The Bike Reopens After Brief Closure
The Bicycle Hotel and Casino in Bell Gardens was reopened on Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after the property was raided by federal agents as part of an investigation of money laundering. According to reports, thousands of financial records were seized in the raid.
Upon its reopening, the company released a statement to their customers. “We are serving our customers and resuming normal operations immediately. Our priority is to provide a safe and fun environment for our guests.”
The Bicycle, which is home to 185 poker tables and other card games, is one of the largest casinos in Southern California. The casino had previously been raided in 1990 when authorities had discovered laundered money had been used to fund the casino’s construction. The casino was then sold to a British gaming company.
