Message:	Often loose and wacky, perhaps because it's located inside the bar. Wait Time: Can be quite long, anywhere from 5 minutes to 60 minutes. But they announce your name over the casino PA system, so you can leave the room and go play blackjack or slots while you wait; when they announce your name you have a few minutes to get into the (easily found) room and claim your seat.     * Bad Beat Jackpot: Quads or better beaten = $18000 Atmosphere Note: The poker room was moved to the back of the Half Dome theater which was removed to put in many new Bingo/Slots. The poker room is a relatively new addition (perhaps early 2006?) to Chukchansi Gold, complete with special billboards out on the entrance drive promoting it. They've named it the "Three Peaks Poker Room" to add some extra spark to it, but the really odd thing is that it's not its own room. Instead, it's located inside the Firehouse Blues bar. It looks as though they originally tried to make Firehouse Blues a big collegial sports bar, but it didn't take. So they took out a bunch of bar tables in the middle of the room and put in poker tables instead. Due to the layout of the room, though, all nine tables can't be put together, so there are 6 on the main floor, one up on a dais that was probably where the DJ was supposed to spin during dances in the bar, and two more up on another level where restaurant tables used to be. A funky layout that actually adds more charm than I'm making it sound. "There are many steps and columns; it's most tranquil". Because Firehouse Blues is a sports bar, there's a massive TV on the main wall (10 feet square or so) that can be seen from any poker table in the room. Also, they've left in a lot of the bar and it remains operational. So the poker tables are surrounded by bar tables and bar booths, and people can watch the poker as they drink or snack on onion rings and such. The brush runs the board up against one wall, and announces seats over the casino PA. The wait varies greatly based on time of day and game choice. The room fills up completely on weekend nights, but has only one or two tables running in the mornings. Neighborhood: Right on Hwy 41, north of Fresno. The highway is already climbing into the Sierra mountains by the time you reach Coarsegold, and Chukchansi is simultaneously remote and accessible. Gorgeous area, where the view is more of the starry sky than the fields.
