Message:	Right on a very busy street that acts as one of the business streets in the small town of Marina. Mortimer's is a restaurant, bar, and casino. Games Limit hold 'em: 6/12 with a full kill. In the evenings, 10/20 is often available. This is a very small card club that serves the slightly-higher-rollers along this stretch of the coast. Offers the highest limit games around, unless you want to drive 50 miles to San Jose. Lower-limit players play across the street at the Marina Club. Game Info 6/12 seemed fairly tight aggressive while I was there, though we had a calling station or two. At 6/12, the rake is $3 for 7-9 players, $2 for 5-6 players, $1 for 2-4 players, and no flop no drop. Rake is taken post-flop. The game is played with $1 chips, though some $5 chips are used too. Still, once the kill gets involved, people are pushing multiple stacks into the pot just to call a single raise! Posting: New players must post a standard big blind to enter the game, or wait to take the big blind in turn. Shuffling: Hand shuffled. No machines available. Wait Time Can take quite a while since there's only four tables, or can be instantaneous. Atmosphere A "dirty back room behind the bar", this feels like an add-on created to satisfy some bar regulars who wanted to play poker. The bathrooms were really bad. The bar was dark and scary-looking, even at 3pm on an afternoon. You get the impression that the only people who play here are regulars who are used to the dingy surroundings and the faint smell of alcohol drifting in from the bar through the door. Neighborhood: Sort of a "hangout/dive" area on a busy corner just south of downtown Marina. Doesn't look particularly attractive, or particularly safe. Parking: There's parking on the side of the building and behind it, too. Tables and Chairs: Standard 9-player tables, standard fixed-leg chairs that aren't very comfortable.
