Everest Poker Review (7.16 of10)
Everest Poker (7.16 of 10)
Due to U.S. legislation preventing credit card companies from collecting payments for wagers made by U.S. residents, Everest Poker has determined to suspend all real-money gaming business in the United States.
Everest Poker is a fresh and truly multilingual poker room that has plenty of growth potential even from its established player base. Its software comes in all major poker languages and includes French, Japanese, German, Italian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Spanish, as well as the most common variations. In all, 16 languages are supported.
The software itself is of very fine quality, runs smoothly and is popular among many players. Currently the only game available is Texas Hold'em, but Everest Poker is planning a launch of Omaha as well.
The traffic has skyrocketed since the opening of the site and now lands in the top 10 of all poker sites. Everest Poker is one of few sites that actually has profited from the U.S. online gambling ban and seems to attract new players every minute.
Everest Poker offers relatively few tournaments and freerolls, and most tournaments have a low buy-in. The traffic volume overall is in the top segment of the industry. Real-money player statistics as of Apr, 2007 show 5,300 ring-game players at peak hours and 10,000 tournament players at peak hours.
Overall, Everest Poker offers relatively loose games and software that plays well and is relatively fast. The software is updated frequently to ensure safety and stability with almost no downtime as a result.
