Poker.com Review

Poker.com recently launched a new version of their site and software, and they are aggressively promoting it with $5000 in daily freeroll tournaments. The software is pretty basic, and they don't yet have a very large player base (except for their freerolls), but they may become one of the big players in the coming year. . . how can you get a more recognizable name than poker.com?

Poker.com Games and Table Stakes
Poker.com's games are currently limited to Texas Holdem and Omaha. They have fixed limit, pot limit, and no limit tables. Their games have table stakes ranging from $0.02/$0.04 to $30/$60, but the highest stakes tables normally do not yet have players. You can also create your own custom table, and make it open to other players or restricted with a password. Blackjack games are available directly from the same software.

Poker.com Freeroll Tournaments
Poker.com holds some of the biggest and most frequent freeroll tournaments on the Internet, $5000 daily! They have a daily $3000 freeroll, plus two $500 freerolls, and five $200 freerolls. Anyone can enter the $200 freerolls. To enter the $500 and $3000 freerolls you have to play a certain number of raked hands to earn a coupon, which you can then use for admission. They also have regular Sit N Go tourneys, but they are not nearly as popular as the free rolls.

Review of Poker Software
Poker.com is using new software which is relatievly clean and simple. The main drawback is that the lobby does not show important information like the percent of players viewing the flop, hands played per hour, average pot, etc. You also cannot choose your seat or even your specific table - the computer will automatically seat you at a random table matching the game and table stakes that you selected. Oh yeah, to turn off the sound, go to the "Options" tab.

Poker.com Statistics
You can access your statistics by clicking on the Stats panel while running the Poker.com software. It shows the number of hands you have been dealt, how many hands you have won, and how long you have been playing. You can also see more details on Action Stats, Fold Stats, and Win Stats. Additionally, the software supports taking notes on other players.
